Mikey and his wife Dawn are great people and fun to work with. Periodically, I will be posting the newest photos from him! Stay tuned!
If you are a Facebook enthusiast and a local Fort Pierce resident, then you probably know about Michael Evans( aka “Mikey” ) or at least recognize his pictures. I became a fan of Mikey’s eye-popping photo’s not too long ago and when he personally contacted me about doing some shoots with him, I was honored to say the least. We became friends fast and I knew I had to get a spotlight on this treasure of a man! He’s been going around town snapping pictures and turning them into his own signature work of art. When he started posting them on Main Street’s Facebook Page, they took notice! It’s hard not to draw your eyes away from his colorful HDR pictures. It grabs you and makes you feel as though you are right there. The effect is a 3D experience and now his work is getting local, national and international attention on Facebook. Mikey, You better hang on because your career is off and running!! All the best and watch for some photo shoots with me(Plythe).
Here is Mikey’s story in his own words !
“I guess some of the good people in Fort Pierce {Main Street Fort Pierce } have been wondering who this Mikey person is that keeps posting photos on Main Streets website. My name is Michael Evans and l was born here in 1955 at the hospital on 7th St. Dr. Goodwin delivered me as a lot of others born here. I attended school at Lawnwood , Fairlawn , Fort Pierce Elementary, Saint Lucie Middle School and at last Fort Pierce Central . My wife and l have two girls. We met in the 4th grade and started dating in the 9th grade. We have been married almost 41 years. We have 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter . The wife and l are living in PSL at this time and we both are retired. My hobbies were diving , fishing, hunting, most of all taking photos every where we go. I worked for myself most of my life and l worked for Florida Power & Light . The place I love taking photos of the most is my home town of Fort Pierce , she has history and beauty that is second to none. I never leave home with out my camera because everywhere you go in Fort Pierce you see something you want to photograph . My wife and l love to help others in need as much as we can when we can . That’s my story and l am sticking to it. So if you see a guy going around taking photos like he is a tourist, say hello because it just might be me, LOL . Mikey :)”
