Who would have thought that fashionable yet functional masks would be at the top of the list for health care providers? Well, MOCHACHINO fashion is at the for front of PAYING IT FORWARD in his own style and own way!

I’ve known Sabre MOCHACHINO or 8 years and he has created many of my dresses, a few custom handbags and the Treasures of Fort Pierce logo/website. His creativity doesn’t stop at clothing and hand bags. Sabre also has a musical talent too. His passion for fashion started many years ago and he has always been mindful of giving back the the community. His zest for life and people make him what I brand him as “larger than life” . This past year his campaign, “Why Not Be Fabulous” has been a major part of Fashion Shows for non profits like Grace Way Village and New Horizons of the Treasure Coast. MOCHACHINO style is always bold and beautiful. When I’m wearing MOCHACHINO it is catches the eye of others and is complemented. His designs have that stand out quality that makes you feel “fabulous” when you wear them. It’s no surprise now that he has another brilliant endeavor. Read below the MOCHACHINO mission. Since the early days of Mochachino, Sabre has always been the one to give back not only to his local community, but also to global causes. Sabre has continuously supported causes such as Lupus, Breast Cancer Awareness, support for individuals affected by homelessness and depression, and children in education. Now, Sabre and the Mochachino family are on the path to support our local first responders and healthcare front-liners.

The ideal to design effective and efficient protective masks came from us just viewing the news and realizing that our country’s current situation will only get worse before it gets any better. Also, since the coronavirus has not hit Florida as bad as our sister states of New York, California, and New Jersey, we wanted to be proactive and do what we were able and capable of doing. Furthermore, we were seeing more and more news reports of many healthcare workers and first responders not feeling safe enough to do their jobs because they did not have the right PPEs. Sabre and Donnie had a separate conversation and I was having a conversation by myself about what Mochachino can and will do… Create protective masks to deliver to our local healthcare workers and first responders.

When I called Sabre, I reminded him of the time in Los Angeles when we are producing our denim line. We also created a capsule campaign of denim meets gladiator garb. Back then, Sabre designed various gladiator masks, capes, shields, belts, holsters, chest guards, everything … all designed in denim! The construction he used to create the masks then, would foreshadow the creation of the masks he would now create for our first responders and become the prototype to use during this pandemic. In usual Sabre fashion, he went full steam ahead and knew that his job was to create a mass masks for our local first responders and healthcare front-liners and that’s where this all was birthed from; hence we have the new Mochachino Pandemic Protective Masks.

To be clear, the primary goal for creating these protective masks, is to donate to our local first responders and healthcare front-liners. Then, offer to our private clients, colleagues, family and friends to purchase, so we can continue to produce as much as possible for the people that matter. Again, we are even trying to get some of these masks out to our Mochachino Family in our sister states of New York (City), New Jersey, and California, as well as many other places national and globally.

After just a week of designing, producing and churning out these very effective, washable, and reusable masks, Sabre has already delivered approximately 225 masks, with plans to continue to produce as much as 300 per week for the next 3-5 weeks.

Each mask is designed with your health in mind. The fabric is pre-washed before being cut. Each mask is layered with a filter that, like the N-95 masks, blocks the enter of unwanted bacteria and virus through the mouth and nose. The shape of the mask is designed to comfortably contour and fit your face for optimum protection.  ( insert by Chris Wilks, Mochachino Marketing Director)
